B is for...

In the video I mentioned that I named some topics, but not all. Here are some others that are important to remember

B is for: -Featuring 2x GC2B Binder Giveaway-

-Binding, Binary, Bisexual/Biphobia, Bottom Growth, Bottom Surgery, Bloodwork

Binding is when an individual wear a tight binding garment to contour the shape of their chest to be flat. Binding is constricting the air flow if the individual and it is dangerous to wear for a prolonged period of time. There are many ways people have binded (ace bandages, tape, cheap clip binders from misc online websites, or multiple sports bras) but the safest is to use a reputable brand that makes Binders. If you bind unsafely it can result in life long damages, broken ribs, unsuccessful top surgery (if desired). Binary is a word that refers to a specific separate category by gender roles (men vs women). This separation is determined by stereotypes (the media, society, cultural, family,…). The term comes from a Latin word that means “consisting of two.” Bisexual/Biphobia Someone who is attracted to men and women, biphobia is when people hate those who are bisexual (short for “bi”) Bottom Growth is a term describing when (AFABs on testosterone) clitoris grows in size. This is due to an excess in androgen hormones. This can also happen to people (women, or AFAB) who are not on prescription testosterone- This happens by the natural hormone levels or hormone imbalances. Eventually an individual may even experience “clitoral erections,” which is exactly what it sounds like. It’s important to remember that everyone’s body is different and reacts in different ways. Bottom Surgery is when an individual has surgery on their genitalia area to match their gender identity. I go into more detail on this in the video. There are different types of "bottom surgery" for transmen, transwomen, and nonbinary people. There are a variation of surgeries and you DO NOT need surgery to be valid. It is important to remember that there are different doctors that specialize in different surgeries, please do research if you are considering this route.

Blood work is essential. The importance is something that many medical professionals fail to mention. When you get blood work done it is to monitor your levels. Many people think the higher the dose is (or the higher your levels are) the better it is for you. When actually, it's the opposite. When you have too much testosterone in your body it actually converts to estrogen. This means after a certain point (with your levels) you will go from masculine physical/mental traits to feminine ones. Of course this varies per person. Blood work is also a great way to monitor how frequent you should take your doses. It is a good way to be able to track your moods too (for me). I now know when my testosterone is too high or too low. This is because experience a lot of old mentality (prior to coming out). My moods are different and I have a lot of dysphoria. As someone with Bipolar 2, it took me a while to realize and accept that those moods were physical from hormone replacement. Hormones are no joke!

Personally, I had a lot of issues early on in my transition and have had stunted changes, due to my first provider being uneducated. I honestly didn't know until over a year later.

*I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice or medical guidance. This is based off my personal experience and perspective. There are more topics in the LBTQ+ community, but these are the topics that were general to choose.*
